These terms govern your use of the Electrician London website and any electrical work, certification or advisory services we provide to you. By booking a job or accepting a quotation you agree to these terms.Electrician London is a trading name of Eco Tech Electrical Contractors Ltd (company number 12510297), an NICEIC Approved Contractor (Registration 619783000).
1. Acceptance
Accepting a written quotation, confirming a booking by phone, WhatsApp or email, or allowing our engineer to begin work on site constitutes acceptance of these terms. If anything below is unclear, ask before you book — we would rather answer questions than argue afterwards.
2. Services
We provide NICEIC-compliant electrical services across all London postcodes, including but not limited to: EICRs (domestic, commercial and HMO), fuse board upgrades, emergency call-outs, fault finding, fire alarm testing, PAT testing, EPCs and landlord compliance bundles. All work is carried out to BS 7671 (latest amendment) by qualified, JIB-card-holding electricians under the supervision of our Qualifying Supervisor.
3. Quotations
Written quotations are valid for seven days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Verbal estimates are indicative only. A quotation is based on the information you supply and the work scope described — if site conditions or scope change materially, we will discuss and agree any revision before proceeding.
4. Booking, access and cancellation
You are responsible for arranging access to the property at the agreed appointment time. If we are unable to gain access through no fault of ours, or you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, we reserve the right to charge the full visit fee. Rescheduling more than 24 hours in advance is free of charge.
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work and on receipt of any certificate or report. We do not take deposits or upfront payment from domestic and small-commercial customers. Invoices are payable within seven days by bank transfer or card. Late payment interest may be charged in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
6. Warranties
Installation work is covered by the NICEIC Platinum Promise insurance-backed warranty for six years from the date of certification. Replacement parts and accessories are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Inspection and testing services are warranted to be carried out in accordance with BS 7671 — the report reflects the condition of the installation at the time of inspection and does not warrant future performance.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be lawfully limited. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the price paid for the relevant job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of rental income or loss of business opportunity.
8. Regulatory framework
All work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations, current edition), applicable Building Regulations Part P, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 where relevant, and the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020. Certificates and reports are issued in the formats prescribed by NICEIC and BS 7671.
9. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our work, contact us within 14 days of completion at info@electrician247.london or call 020 3633 5557. Unresolved complaints about certification or workmanship may be escalated to NICEIC under their complaints procedure.
10. Governing law
These terms and any contract for services formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of London have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, except that we retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you reside.
